1.机关、住所等另换地点 move ( comb. -移 -yí move)：～都(dū) qiāndū move the capital to another place/ ～居 qiānjū change one's dwelling place; move house ［迁就 -jiù］不坚持自己的意见，凑合别人 accommodate oneself to; yield to：不能～～ bù néng qiānjiù One mustn't yield to it./ ～～应该是有原则的 qiānjiù yīnggāi shì yǒu yuánzé de One should accommodate oneself to it according to the principle. ［迁延 -yán］拖延 defer; delay：已经～～了一个多月了 Yǐjing qiānyánle yī ge duō yuè le. It has been delayed for more than a month.
2.变动，改变 change ( comb. 变- biàn- changes)：事过境～ shìguò-jìngqiān The affair is over and the situation is different. or There are no birds of this year in last year's nest. |
