讲（講）jiǎnɡ

1.说，谈 speak; say：～话 jiǎnghuà speak; talk/ 他对你～了没有 Tā duì nǐ jiǎngle méiyǒu? Has he talked to you (about it)?
2.解释 explain; make clear ( comb. -解 -jiě explain)：～书 jiǎngshū make clear the contents of a book/ 这个字有三个～法 Zhège zì yǒu sān ge jiǎngfǎ. The word has three meanings. ［讲义 -yì］教师为讲课编写的教材 teaching materials to be used in lectures ［讲演 -yǎn］［演讲 yǎn-］把观点或主张对听众说明 (give a) speech or lecture; (explain) one's viewpoint or position to the audience
3.谋求，顾到 pay attention to; stress：～卫生 jiǎng wèishēng pay attention to hygiene ［讲究 -jiu］1.讲求，注重 be particular about; stress：～～质量 jiǎngjiu zhìliàng stress quality 2.精美 exquisite; tasteful：这房子盖得真～～ Zhè fángzi gài de zhēn jiǎngjiu. The house is built in an exquisite style. 3.(-儿 -r)一定的方法或道理，惯例 certain method or way; convention (usual practice)：写春联有写春联的～～儿 Xiě chūnlián yǒu xiě chūnlián dejiǎngjiur. There are certain conventions in writing Spring Festival Couplets.
4.商量 consult; talk over：～价儿 jiǎngjiàr bargain; haggle over the price |
