浅（淺） qiǎn

1.从表面到底或从外面到里面距离小的，跟“深”相反 shallow, antonym of "shēn (depth)"：这条河很～ Zhè tiáo hé hěn qiǎn. The river is very shallow./ 这个院子太～ Zhège yuànzi tài qiǎn. The yard is not deep at all.
