去qù

1.离开所在的地方到别处，由自己一方到另一方，跟“来”相反 go, antonym of "lái(come)"：我要～工厂 Wǒ yào qù gōngchǎng. I'm going to the factory./ 马上就～ mǎshàng jiù qù go at once/ 给他～封信 gěi tā qù fēng xìn send him a letter/ 已经～了一个电报 yǐjing qùle yī ge diànbào A telegram has already been sent to him.
2.距离，差别 be apart from in space or time：相～不远 xiāngqù bù yuǎn The two places are not far apart.
3.已过的，特指刚过去的一年 past. esp. the year that has just elapsed：～年 qùnián last year
4.除掉，减掉 remove; get rid of：～皮 qùpí peel (it)/ ～病 qùbìng cure a disease/ 太长了，～一段 tài cháng le, qù yī duàn It's too long; shorten it by a paragraph (part).
5.扮演（戏曲里的角色） play (a part or character in a play).
6.在动词后，表示趋向 used after a verb of motion, indicating the tendency of motion away from the speaker：上～ shàngqu go up/ 进～ jìnqu go into
7.在动词后，表示持续 used after a verb indicating continuation：信步走～ xìnbù zǒuqu walk on and on aimlessly/ 让他说～ Ràng tā shuōqu. Let him talk as he likes.
8.去声，汉语四声之一。普通话去声的调子是下降的，符号作“ˋ” the falling tone, one of the four tones in modern Chinese pronunciation; symbol: “ˋ” |
